A new Public Service map highlights the areas that will not be covered under publically announced expansion plans put forward by state telecom carriers. These coverage gaps have become a primary focus of the VTA's efforts to bring broadband to all Vermonters by 2010.

BUSINESS USE of the INTERNET CONTEST
The Internet Biz - 2010 contest is underway to encourage entrepreneurs and existing business owners to utilize the Internet or increase Internet usage. Contest participants will submit plans for how they would use the Internet for business purposes and prizes will be awarded for the best plans. Assistance and training will be available for anyone in the Northeast Kingdom interested in using the Internet for business purposes whether or not they formally participate in the contest.
