FairPoint expands high-speed Internet in Southern Vermont

FairPoint Communications has expanded access to high-speed Internet service in southern Vermont. The service was recently expanded to reach 2,000 more customers in the towns of Dummerston, Hartford, Stratton Mountain, West Dover (Timber Creek) and West Windsor. In 2008, FairPoint increased access to high-speed Internet service from 65 to 76 percent of its Vermont lines exceeding its commitment to the state for 75 percent broadband availability.

FairPoint expands Internet service in the Upper Valley

Company Exceeds 75 Percent Broadband Goal. The service was recently made available for the first time to eligible customers in Brookfield, Quechee, Reading, South Strafford and Stockbridge, and expanded to reach more customers in the towns of Bethel, Fairlee, Hartford, Randolph, Royalton and Sharon.

FairPoint expands Internet service in Franklin County

The service was recently made available for the first time to eligible customers in Sheldon, and expanded to reach more customers in the towns of Enosburg Falls, Georgia, Highgate, St. Albans and Swanton.

FairPoint Communications is expanding broadband Internet service in Bennington County.

The service is available for the first time to eligible customers in Pownal, Searsburg and Woodford, and expanded to reach more customers in the towns of Bennington, Manchester and Shaftsbury. The expansion is part of FairPoint's plan to increase access to high-speed Internet service to 75% of its lines in Vermont by the end of the year.

FairPoint to Provide 100% Broadband Coverage in 51 Vermont Localities

FairPoint Communications today announced it will provide 100 percent broadband coverage to its customers in half of its Vermont telephone exchanges by December 31, 2010.
