North Country Communications: Providing wireless broadband internet to rural communities in Vermont and surrounding states.

North Country Communications was founded by David Kickert and Derick Niles. North Country Communications is an innovative start-up company that will provide wireless broadband internet connections to rural communities in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. North Country Communications will be launching effective February 1, 2010, however currently operates a network of 50-55 subscribers in Newport, VT. Utilizing WIMAX and Wi-Fi technology and proprietary antennas and repeaters, North Country Communications will be able to serve a large area with broadband internet connections.

North Country Communication is founded on the values that a service is only of good use to the consumer if the product is functioning properly and meeting their needs. North Country Communications intends to revolutionize the internet service providers world by offering full customer service in the field. Customer Service will not only extend to problem solving of the customers internet service but also repairing any computer issues the customer may have.

From a customer service standpoint, North Country Communications has decided to focus mainly on the small business market, as these customers typically don't have a full-time internet technician, but have full-time needs. North Country Communications will offer an affordable, ondemand service for these customers. They can also offer maintenance agreements that generate additional monthly income. For their residential customers, they will offer a very affordable and helpful service with a very flexible schedule to meet their needs. Market research indicates there is an abundance of business for a small company such as North Country Communications. Currently, many internet service providers only repair and service their own equipment, leaving many customers with a problem if their personal computer service breaks down.

Great Auk Wireless goes live with new expansion to Canaan area.

Great Auk Wireless Customer Service Representatives are now contacting all customers who have signed up for service to schedule their installations. In order to assist Canaan residents in making their computers able to accept the new high-speed connection, GAW installers will be carrying a variety of wireless components with them. If a customer needs one of these components, they will be able to purchase one while the installer is at their home.

Next Steps

To reach all Canaan residents who signed-up for GAW service, Great Auk Wireless technicians are going door-to-door with information on the service and will be taking sigh-ups for new service.
