RFI VTA2012-132 Fiber Users and Service Providers

This request for information concerns the development of the Orange County Fiber Connector as announced by the VTA on June 28th 2012.  The VTA seeks to gather responses from communication service providers to inform the design and engineering of the project.  Access to the Orange County Fiber Connector will be available according to standard terms and conditions and does not require participation in this RFI.  However, the design and engineering will be informed by the number and type of participants interested in the project.  The VTA also seeks to assess the interest by providers to use the project for fiber to the premises (FTTP), which carriers a fiber-intensive demand on the project.   Because multiple FTTP projects may require either additional strands or a selection of an FTTP provider, the VTA requests that providers interested in either middle mile access and/or FTTP respond to this RFI.
